About Giannos Ntanakos
Giannos Ntanakos was born in Athens on 18th of April 1973. He studied communication and mass media at the Kapodistrian State University in Athens. He continued his studies in theater art near Roula Pateraki and Akis Davis in the Studio of performance art at Theater Alkmini. After four years of performing theater and completing his degree he confined his studies in physical art in the State School of Dance at the professional department. He worked in the theater and dance for 10 years until 2006. From 2001 he presented original productions within the theater dance team "I Danikoi". He was the leader choreographer and performer. He conceived and wrote all the speech and drama that concerned the plays presented in Athens and also he was the main protagonist in the works. He is influenced by artists like Seferis or Lord Byron. After this creative period he devoted himself in teaching physical methods in renowned and popular health clubs. Meanwhile some changes in his life lead him to follow the aesthetics of painting and as he himself says "after the century of bodyness follows the century of materialism."

O Γιάννος Ντανάκος γεννήθηκε στην Αθήνα στις 18 Απριλίου του 1973. Σπούδασε επικοινωνία και μέσα μαζικής ενημέρωσης στο Καποδιστριακό Πανεπιστήμιο Αθηνών. Σπούδασε Θέατρο κοντά στην Ρούλα Πατεράκη και τον Άκη Δαβή στο στούντιο υποκριτικής τέχνης του τελευταίου στο θέατρο Αλκμήνη. Συνέχισε τις σπουδές του ως performer στην Κρατική Σχολή Χορού στο επαγγελματικό τμήμα. Δούλεψε στο θέατρο και στον χορό δέκα χρόνια μέχρι το 2006. Από το 2001 παρουσίασε πρωτότυπες παραγωγές υπό την σκέπη της καλλιτεχνικής ομάδας «Ι Δανικοί» της οποίας ηγήθηκε. Επρόκειτο για δουλειές χοροθεατρικές με πρωτότυπα κείμενα του ιδίου όπως και επιλογές κειμένων καλλιτεχνών που θαυμάζει, όπως ο Σεφέρης ή ο Λόρδος Byron. Επιμελήθηκε τα σκηνικά τα φώτα τα κουστούμια και το μακιγιάζ. Συνέχισε την εργασία του ως δάσκαλος σωματικής αγωγής με διακριτή επιτυχία.Όπως ο ίδιος λέει μετά τον αιώνα του σώματος έρχεται ο αιώνας της ύλης. Με τη ζωγραφική ερωτευμένος πραγματοποιεί τις πρώτες του ατομικές εκθέσεις.
